The Best Day

Yesterday was such a great day. I'm still in Sisters with Scott's parents. It was warm and sunny. We took Lucy for a walk. My FIL made breakfast. We leisurely ate out on the deck with a view of the Three Sisters. I would have taken a morning picture, but the camera was, well it was inside and it was just so nice outside that I couldn't be bothered to get up. I emailed with the Mr (who is stuck in Placencia, Belize and won't be meeting me in Belize City as planned due to a little tropical depression that hit the other night) and then my MIL and I went into Sisters to check out the LYS, The Stitchin Post. It's more of a quilting store, but they do have a nice little selection of yarns with hardly any acrylic to be found. But the best part of the entire day was that after wondering around Sisters for a bit, we went to the opening show of Sex and The City. I won't spoil it with any details, but if you watched the series and haven't seen the movie, run, don't walk to the theater. Right now. Go.

What a Difference A Week Makes

From palm trees to pine trees.

And tram topped to snow capped peaks. The view of the Three Sisters from the deck at the IL's house in Sisters, Oregon.

Joy Ride

It's our last night in Palm Springs so Lucy and I took a little evening drive in the PS Cruiser.

I think she liked it.

Not Dreaming

This morning, it occured to me that I've stopped dreaming. Or at least I'm not remembering my dreams. The last dream I remember having was a couple of nights after my last day of work. In the dream, we were broke and I was begging for my job back. At least I remember thinking it was me, but it didn't really look like me. Me in the dream had blonde hair and huge boobs (like Cs or something). I woke up at the point where my old boss was shoving me out of the building, yelling at me to just let it go. And since then, nothing. In the past, my dreams usually had a certain amount of anxiety associated with them. Sometimes, I'd go so far as to call them nightmares, especially the I forgot to do something dreams. Even worse were the back in high school dreams. And now that there isn't any work, they're gone. It would be nice if they could be replaced with flowery, happy, peaceful dreams, but I guess no dream is better than stressed out dream.

And speaking of not dreaming, I FINALLY finished the Monkey Socks I started forever ago. No need to ramble on about them as so much has already been said about the pattern. The yarn is Koigu. Same story as the pattern. Great sock yarn.

And also these super pink Campfire Socks. The pattern is from Cider Moon and the yarn is some of Myra's hand died, washable wool. I had plans to keep them for myself at first, but then there was this little holiday the other Sunday, so they'll be delivered next week.

Lucy has this thing about nestling into the laundry. Freshly knitted socks work just as well.

Somebody Got A Bath Today

And a bit of a hair cut. A little choppy, but still cute. Don't you think?

She's Back

Up until yesterday, Lucy was the Mr's dog. She'd follow him around, had to sit right next to him, whined if she couldn't. She wasn't completely indifferent to me, she just wasn't my dog. She didn't have to be in the same room as I was like before we moved. Did I mind? Not at first. It was nice to be alone in the bathroom. But then, I did mind. A lot. So I started campaigning. I snuck her treats when he wasn't around. I gave her extra meat with her meals. I even went so far as to give her two Greenies one night. And now, she's back.
