Blame It On The Rain

It's cold and rainy. Unusual for Palm Springs. Not so great for hanging out by the pool. Perfect for knitting.

With Lucy's hair loss, the drop in temperature and in preparation for camping, it was clear that she was going to need a sweater. Unfortunately, the Mr won't take her out if she's girly, so pink was out. The green is nice though and the stripes make it a little Sporty Spice.

I based the pattern loosely on a number I found online. It's the first time I've knit anything just using measurements and not a pattern with a stitch count to follow. It turned out pretty well - a little big around her chest, but the increases were looking so nice that it was hard to stop. Not the greatest of photos - but you get the idea.

I Do Think We've Lost Our Minds

We bought these and are planning to spend the summer traveling through Arizona, Utah, Montana, Oregon and California. Maybe even Wyoming.

It's all a little confusing and I'm not sure who I'm becoming. I mean, the brand of the trailer is Tango...as in Whiskey Tango. The good news is that it's not a tent. And there is plenty of room for yarn. And vodka. And Lucy. Lucy's the real reason for the summer plans. I can't leave her again and she can't leave the country. So, we will all be together and see a bit of this country. It won't be so bad; right?!
